Cortney has spent several years working with Exceptional Students in grades kindergarten through 8th grade in the public school setting. It is this experience, in addition to her journey with her own children, that has grown her passion for helping students learn to read and write in a way best suited for their learning style. Cortney successfully implements sensory-cognitive programs for students with dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia.

Cortney and her husband have been married for 24 years. Together, they are raising three busy boys. They enjoy serving at their church, watching sports, and traveling to the beach when they get time away.
